Our Staff

Dr. Alberts completed her undergraduate studies at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She obtained her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Alberts performed an internship in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before completing her formal training in Dermatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After completing her residency, she entered private practice in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2003, she moved to Grand Island, Nebraska with her family and opened Grand Island Dermatology. Dr. Alberts and her husband have four children. Dr. Alberts is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Nebraska Dermatology Society and the Nebraska Medical Association.

Dr. Corey is a Board Certified Dermatologist. She completed her undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University in North Carolina and obtained her medical degree from the University of South Florida. Dr. Corey completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Corey and her husband have twin sons and a daughter. Dr. Corey is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Contact Dermatitis Society,  the Nebraska Dermatology Society,and the Nebraska Medical Association.

Jackie is a nationally certified Physician Assistant who received her undergraduate degree in biologic studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She then pursued her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She worked in Family practice in Central City for 9 years, and then joined our practice in 2011. Jackie and her husband enjoy camping and spending time with their daughter.

She is a member of the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Assistants. 

Laura A. Fox, PA-C is a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Laura then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center and graduated with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. After practicing in Omaha and Hastings, Nebraska for six years, she joined Grand Island Dermatology, PC in 2004. Laura and her husband have 3 sons. She is a member of the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and she is a diplomate through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Bobbi was born and raised in Grand Island, NE. She attended high school at Grand Island Central Catholic where she graduated. She then attended Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA where she studied pre medicine and graduated with honors with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. After she graduated, she married her high school sweetheart and went off to Lincoln, NE to study to become a Physician Assistant at Union College where she graduated with honors. She joined our practice in 2015 and where she works part time. She lives in Kearney, NE with her husband and three children.

Christopher is a nationally certified PA who received his undergraduate degree in athletic training from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He then pursued his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Prior to joining the practice in 2019, he worked for two years in emergency medicine. Chris enjoys time spent with family and friends at the lake or watching Husker athletics.

Susan is a nationally certified Physician Assistant who attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she graduated with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. She has worked in Family Practice and Dermatology for most of her career.  Her passion is Cosmetic Dermatology.  She enjoys quilting, reading and Husker Football.  She was born and raised in Palmer,  she lives in Doniphan with her family.   She is a member of the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants.

Sheila is a nationally certified Physician Assistant who received her undergraduate degree at University
of Nebraska at Kearney. She then pursued her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of
Nebraska Medical Center. She joined our practice in 2021 and works part time. Prior to working for us she worked in Orthopedics, Pain Management, and was a Professor in the PA Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Kearney. She and her husband enjoy camping and spending time with family, especially their grandchildren. She is a member of the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Dunia is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is originally from Cuba, where she practiced as a Family Care Physician since 2011. She moved to the US in 2015 and began a new path in nursing school. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from the EDP University of Puerto Rico in 2020, she subsequently obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from South University of Georgia in 2023. She joined our practice in 2017, and recently started as a Nurse Practitioner in early 2024. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Dunia lives in Grand Island with her husband and her son, she enjoys time spent with family.

Ashley was born and raised in Stromsburg, NE. She is a licensed Esthetician who completed her training through Xenon academy in Wichita, KS.  After graduation she moved to Grand Island and has been practicing skin care as an esthetician. She joined Grand Island Dermatology in 2012.

Shelby earned her degree as a licensed Esthetician from the College of Hair Design in Lincoln, NE in 2019. After working at a Dermatology clinic in Iowa, she moved to GI with her husband in 2021.  Shelby and her husband love to travel with their dogs in their free time.
