SKIN CANCER SCREENINGS
Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the United States. Skin cancer screening and
treatment is imperative for patients of all ages and skin types. At Grand Island Dermatology, our medical
team offers comprehensive skin cancer diagnosis and treatment services. When detected early, most
types of skin cancer can be successfully treated before destroying local tissue or spreading to other parts
of the body. We offer many treatment options to effectively treat and prevent skin cancer.

SURGICAL DERMATOLOGY
We are equipped with the experience and equipment to provide safe and effective dermatologic
surgical procedures. In addition to treating/excising skin cancers (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell
carcinoma, melanoma) and abnormal moles, we also treat skin tags, cysts and lipomas.

Swift Microwave Therapy-   The Swift Microwave Therapy offers a novel approach for the treatment of warts.  Swift Microwave Wart Therapy uses microwaves that are more powerful than those emitted by cell phones but less than those omitted by microwave ovens.  The microwaves are focused precisely so as to deliver a controlled dose and limit the depth of penetration.  The microwave therapy quickly heats the tissue to induce heat shock proteins setting off inflammation that targets the  human papilloma virus (HPV) that causes warts.  Typically, 2-4 treatments are necessary to fully treat the warts.  There is some pain during  the treatment by there is no post procedure pain.  The treatment was cleared by the FDA in 2018.
